According to a North County Times article, a number of hospitals are suing San Diego County over medical costs of inmates. The article names Sharp HealthCare, as well as Scripps and other facilities, as taking part in the suit.
As a San Diego Business Journal article reports, the monthly magazine “American Hospital Association”—[a] Chicago-based industry trade group representing 5,000 members
—has named Sharp HealthCare one of the 100 “most wired” health care systems in the USA. The article states, Sharp HealthCare has made the issue for the past nine years.
In the August 3rd issue of the San Diego Union Tribune newspaper, readers named Sharp HealthCare as San Diego’s “best health care provider” as well as “best hospital”. Sharp Healthcare’s almost 19,000 nurses, staff, affiliated physicians, and volunteers help every day to earn Sharp HealthCare this recognition. Sharp HealthCare is working to become the best place to receive health care, as well as the best place to work and the best place to practice medicine, as part of The Sharp Experience. This recognition means we’re on the right track, and Sharp’s employees will only improve.

Sharp HealthCare is listed as one of the top places to work in IT. Also, Union nurses have voted to allow a strike.
